Welcome to Ditable (Pty) Ltd. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at ditable.co.za and our online shop at ditable.co.za/shop. By placing an order, browsing, or creating an account on our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) of South Africa.

1. General Store Terms

  • Legal Capacity: By using our website and shop, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age or accessing the site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Account Security: If you register an account on ditable.co.za/shop, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and restricting unauthorized access to your device.
  • Modifications: Ditable (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Hardware Products, Pricing & Stock Availability

All hardware products displayed on ditable.co.za/shop (including power backup units, networking gear, CCTV equipment, and computer components) are subject to stock availability and supplier confirmation.

  • Pricing Currency: All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include standard South African Value-Added Tax (VAT) where applicable, unless otherwise stated.
  • Typographical / Pricing Errors: While we make every effort to maintain accurate product information and pricing, errors may occur. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to technical or clerical error, Ditable (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to cancel or decline any orders placed for that item prior to dispatch, offering a full refund where payment was processed.
  • Product Specifications: Images and technical descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes. Actual product packaging or housing design may vary slightly depending on manufacturer hardware revisions.

3. Order Acceptance & Payment Terms

An order placed on ditable.co.za/shop represents an offer to purchase hardware products. Order confirmation emails signify receipt of your order but do not constitute formal acceptance until payment clearance and stock verification are complete.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Payments may be processed via secure payment gateways (e.g., PayFast, card payments) or direct Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
  • EFT Payment Clearance: Orders paid via direct EFT will only be dispatched once funds reflect as cleared in our corporate bank account. Unpaid EFT orders may be canceled after 48 hours to release reserved inventory.
  • Passage of Title: Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer upon courier delivery. Title and ownership of all goods remain with Ditable (Pty) Ltd until payment has been cleared in full.

4. Delivery & Shipping Policy

  • Fulfillment Territory: We ship hardware products to physical street addresses across South Africa via registered courier services. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
  • Lead Times: Standard courier delivery typically takes 2 to 5 business days, depending on location and regional hub access. Remote or outlying areas may require additional handling time.
  • Delivery Verification: You or an authorized representative must inspect shipment packages upon delivery and report visible transit damage or missing items within **48 hours**.

5. Returns, Refunds & Warranties

All hardware purchases are subject to our comprehensive, CPA-compliant Refund and Returns Policy. This includes:

  • A 7-Day ECTA Cooling-Off Period for unopened, unused hardware in original packaging.
  • A 6-Month Statutory Warranty under the CPA for defective hardware, subject to technical assessment.
  • Exclusions for damage caused by power surges, load-shedding voltage spikes, lightning, physical damage, or unauthorized tampering.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All website content—including text, graphics, logos, brand assets, circuit design artwork, layout, and custom software code—is the property of Ditable (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and is protected by South African copyright and intellectual property laws. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial reuse without written permission is strictly prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Ditable (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from website downtime, server outages, or hardware installation issues.
  • Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.
